Pardon the strong language in the title, but what is your experience with SSBB online? So far mines been horrific, along the lines of this video I found at YouTube:
Frankly, the online play for me is atrocious to the point it’s unplayable and near headache inducing. I tried about 5 games and they all suffered the same fate - bad, bad, bad, bad, super bad lag that was pretty embarrassing to see for such a top tier game. Nintendo already catches flak for their online service and this is just even more fuel for that firestorm. Are your games laggy as all get out as well? I know it’s not our connection as we’ve played plenty of other titles online just fine and have a very fast connection to the ‘net.
Until this gets resolved, there’s really no reason to waste much time trying to play online, but I will be honing my skills in single player so when it’s all sorted out I can drop some damage on fools. Let me know your experiences in the comments here please and let’s see who else is experiencing this.

uhh, i still haven’t gotten my wii back from nintendo and i sent it 2 weeks ago…
I’m afraid it got lost…
But i have played brawl online at a friends house and it was perfect.
We used an Airport Xtreme Router (Apple product)
And it was by far the best i have seen on an online game.

90% of the time my online matches work perfectly and the other 10% of the time my online matches have been laggy. So yeah most of the time my online matches work great.

if u don’t want to suffer from lag,its best to start playing after 7:00 pm,for some reason there isn’t much lag then

Does it go without saying that y’all are hardwired connection-wise? Or, are we talking wifi here?
I use wifi and have had evenly mixed results. Also, I have never seen a green Icon (connection quality).

Matches with friends have all been perfect, with the occasional hiccup but nothing game-breaking. Matches with randoms are a fairly useless endeavour. If I actually manage to connect to a game, there’s a 90% chance that it will be unplayable. I’ve been in the waiting room pounding that sandbag for 10+minutes waiting for a match, which makes little to no sense considering how many people own this game and are likely doing the very same thing at that moment.
You are not alone. I recommend Brawling with friends online though.

I had this problem with Striker with wifi untill I changed my wifi channel to 11 on my router.
It could be some interference you are getting from some device

Yeah, i’ve played 5 matches all laggy. The best one I had was when it didn’t lag for 1 full minute. I play on Mario Kart Wii, super smooth. Screw you Brawl!
