Jeux-France.com has a slew of Mario Strikers screenshots up and while the gameplay shots are interesting, even moreso are the Wifi connection shots for various reasons. One thing that is apparent is that is does not use the unified Wii list, it appears to use it’s own friends codes setup. Check out the shots below and read along as I comment on what I found interesting about certain aspects of them:

This first shot seems to show the initial screen you will come across when you get online. It shows you a few details up front including how many friends of yours are online, I would assume the left portrait is of your Mii, while the right portrait seems to be an overall “player of the day” type thing. You can also go into “Unranked” or “Ranked” matches, the “Leaderboard”, or check out your “Friends” from here.

This next shot is your “Friends List” and something that sticks out here is the ability to not only see their rank, wins, losses and so forth, but also who is online or unavailable.

Here we have a lobby shot giving you an idea of what it’s going to be like while you wait for the teams to be formed and everyone joining up. In this shot, “Nathan” has been invited.

Would you like to play as this Mii? Here is where you would select which Mii you would like to play with it seems.

It’s the ever so controversial “Add Friends” area where you can add friends to your Mario Strikers list. Whether you can pull over friends from your Wii list is unknown, and it does show your friend code above the list for ease.

Looks like the “Ranked” options screen where you can choose to play alone or with a guest. The game supports multiple people playing online from one console.

This is what it’s going to look like when you’re waiting on random people to join you in the “Domination Draft”.

Entering someone’s friend code to add them to your list looks straightforward and easy as pie.

Shall we play a game? The connection looks great, why not? You’ve got 16 seconds left to decide.

Someone has joined up for the Domination Draft.

It’s the results of the game! Looks like this player won and scored some bonus points!

While it is a shame the game is using it’s own Friends Codes and not the Wii universal list of friends you have, it doesn’t appear to be that tough to enter in the codes and you can always play online with random people and never mess with the codes at all. I like being able to see who is online and who isn’t and the menus and navigation seems familiar and easy as well. Can’t wait to see what people think of Nintendo’s *free* online service once we get more games rolling with it and expanded out to other games.

What do you guys think of the shots or the Nintendo online offerings as a whole? Let us know in the comments! Thanks again to Jeux-France for the shots.
