my wii was makeing a sound but it never plays good youre lucky if it works even more if it stayed on for more than 4 or 5 min. it suked :(

Got my wii back from the big N. Only took a week to get back. SSB worked for a week or so and then progressively started to display the “cant read disk…check manual…bla bla” error. Works perfect for other games, works perfect for all functions of the SSB game except for the error. When you win a battle (2 player…one player doesn’t matter) will display it after first battle every time…Nintendo will be calling back within the next “48hrs” to “work out a fix…for both parties…”.

kingbooforums, your post was not deleted intentionally and I do not remember deleting it at all honestly. I do go through around 75-100 spam posts per day and may have missed it accidentally. The only posts I delete are blatant spam aimed at nothing but advertising a site non-relevant to the subject matter here.

I had to send back my Wii to mothership, the second time in less than a month.

As I posted previously, they changed the CD drive because it sounded like a blender. After less than 2 weeks of normal use, it stopped reading and/or recognizing any disc, which happened on Saturday, the day before SSBB release…

Grrr, I called Big N on Sunday, got my label, stuffed it in a box, went out to pick my pre-ordered copy of SSBB and came back home to curse for not being able to play it. Today I shipped my precious with a tear rolling down my face…. sniff, sniff, ten days without playing SSBB will be an eternity.

The weird thing, and I need somebody to confirm this, is that it seems Nintendo reestablished a full year warranty for my unit after the first repair, because when I spoke to the CSR yesterday she said me this new repair would be free because I had a full year warranty, although my original warranty plus three months extension already had expired on February 19th. Is this the prelude of a new failure… well, at least I have another whole year to find it out :-)
