Rock Band Wii Info, Drums Shot, No DLC

Joystiq has the scoop on some details concerning Rock Band for the Wii and the shot seen above of the drum setup which looks really cool in white.
Will the Wii version have missing or crippled features similar to the PS2 experience?
Rock Band for the Wii will have functionality similar to the PS2 version.If there is character creation, will there be Mii support when creating your Rock Band character?
No, there will be no character creator. When developing Rock Band for the Wii platform, the primary focus was to make the core band gameplay experience as fun and solid for everyone — from the software to the Rock Band Wii drums, wireless Stratocaster guitar controllers and microphone peripheral. In tailoring Rock Band to the strengths of the Wii console, character creator unfortunately didn’t make the cut.Will the bundle include a powered USB hub, like the Xbox 360 release?
The bundle will ship with a USB hub.

Regarding downloadable content: During Rock Band for the Wii development Harmonix focused on making the core gameplay experience as solid and enjoyable as possible while tailoring it specifically to the strengths of the platform. The Wii version still contains the robust four-player band experience and all the fun at the core of other versions of Rock Band. However, because the Wii’s online capabilities and potential have yet to be fully realized, we wanted to wait before we explored online functionality for Rock Band to ensure that players get the high-quality of online performance they’ve come to expect. - EA/Harmonix statement

ugh, I wish it had at least the character creator…I was for sure I would be getting this. but now it’s a maybe. no dlc?…hmmm. Have to have seperate gh guitars and seperate rock band guitars?!…hmmm. I dont know, I think I would be better off getting 360 and rock band. oh man, this sucks.

I hope they straighten out the DLC issues for Guitar Hero on Wii or I might have to pull a switcheroo with the PS3 on that as well.
I don’t plan on doing much gaming on the PS3, mostly using it as a media centre. I’ll always be a Nintendo fanboy at heart. :)

I’ll be adding you very soon, hoping the new update for the PS3 doesn’t hose my 60 Gig model. I have a naughty thing to admit, I also bought the PS3 version of the GH3 after the sound issues (I know they are working to fix them) and after contacting Activision and finding out very little in regards to downloadable content. GH3 on the PS3 has slightly better graphics, *much* better sound, and a slew of downloadable songs, some of them free. That said, I do have a few friends with the Wii version of GH3 and I think zero.. Yep, zero friends that own the PS3 version. :D

The update worked fine on my 60gig PS3.
I’d love to exchange my Wii GH3 for the PS3 version, but I don’t think it would be worth the hassle, money lost, and extra batteries. I only play on occasion as it is.

omg this totally sux!!! i just got rockband 4 the WII and waz trying 2 figure out how 2 do character creator… i went on this site and read it didnt have it!!! GRRR now im totally mad that i just spent 158 freakin dollars on it !!!!!!!!!!!

are they going to come out with a new rock band for wii?? like with updates and stuff?? because I really want it.. i just got a wii.. but after doing some research on the game.. it doesn’t sound to great. If I’m going to buy the game I want to get the most out of it. But if it’s not coming out any time soon then I might just buy this one..

I played rockband at my cousins house on his xbox360 and loved it. So when I saw they made one for wii I got it. I thought I was a loser because I couldn’t find the rocker creator (or character creator). So I went to the Rockband site but they never mention the Wii version. so then I found this and found out it didn’t even have it! talk about a waist of my titme! I spent like 30 min on my game trying to find it. And I am kind of mad I payed the same (if not more) than my cousin for a game that has less.
