The Wii Uses Very Little Power

Here’s some very good news for those of you that are into conserving energy, between the PC, the PS3, the 360, and the Wii, the Wii requires much less power than any of them. Looking at the chart below almost makes me laugh comparing how much power is used in comparison to the other systems.
While it’s not totally surprising given everything the other consoles (and PC) do and their insane graphical abilities, but the fact it uses about 1/10th of their power is amazing.

Wii is a green system:) One not so hot thing though is that the WiiConnect24 uses almost 10 watts(check the chart on the last page). I might start turning that off at night or when I’m out of town.
Also the guy who wrote this got annoying when he kept on saying that the drastic difference in graphics in Wii games compared to 360/PS3 games was the reason for the lower power consupption. I’m sure that the horsepower is part of the reason, but Wii games don’t look only 1/10 as good as 360/PS3 games so why does the system only use 1/10 of the power? I’d say that’s more a result of shoddy console design on the part of Sony and Microsoft.
