Last week’s poll went really well with 942 total votes and most people owning Super Mario Galaxy and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Next in line was Metroid Prime 3, then Paper Mario and Resident Evil 4 tied for 3rd place. Some very interesting results for sure!
This week’s poll revolves around features for the Wii and what you would like to see improved or added. Vote for your most wanted feature from the list below and post in the comments why you’d like to see that one:

Not sure why anyone would need DVD playback on their Wii. If you need a 480p player that badly, you can find them for $20. I voted for the removal of friend codes and an all-around re-vamp of the online play system. I’ve only experienced GH3 online, and it’s actually much easier to have a random match than to organize one with an existing friend. And if your random opponent is of the same skill level as you and want to add them to your friend list, good luck. For GH3 it’s slightly easier because of the linked GH site and forums, but it’s still a mess. External storage was a close runner-up, but I know that the Wii was never intended to serve as a entertainment hub like the 360 or PS3, and my VC collection is kept quite modest. I’m nowhere near exceeding capacity yet, though I am now under 1000 free blocks. I’m quite sure they’d sell more VC games by releasing a larger storage option. Especially when WiiWare titles are released.

I voted for getting rid of friend codes. I hate having to plug them in all the time and I’d like to be able to save random people to my list if I enjoyed playing a game with them online. After that, my second biggest want is increased storage capacity so we could download larger/more VC and WiiWare games + demos, etc..
Voice chat would be nice, but I can live without it.
I don’t really see any need for DVD playback. Most Wii owners probably have a DVD player already.

Not DVD playback - but using the wii as a media center would be great. I’d like to be able to play Divx/mp3/mp4/jpeg from a remote host over the network (like my PC) or even an attached USB hard drive.

i’d prefer more/better channels. the vote channel and make mii channel are both fun, but get old fast. the photo channel and weather channel are barely usable (can’t do much with the photo channel and the weather channel data is always either wrong or hours old). the news channel is great but why would anyone with an internet connection (which you have to have to use the news channel) not just use their normal pc/laptop for viewing news? i’d like to see a messageboard channel where you could post comments, a channel for finding friends to play different games, and maybe even a preview/demo channel.

I’m shocked that DVD playback has 25% of the vote. All the other features seem much more interesting to me. Do that many people have a Wii but no DVD player? Like teedub said, you can pick up a SD DVD player for 20 bucks:/ Some of the people who voted for the DVD playback need to post so I can understand why they want it so much.

i voted for more channels - everybody nintendo channel, revamp of everybody votes channel to include game reviews, etc. integrate the message board with nsider forums, and streaming wii demos maybe an official music streaming channel (computer to wii)
